Best in Show judged by Mrs Dolores Dineen at the Hound Association of Ireland’s twenty fourth Group championship was Lynda and Colin Matthews, Best in Show and multiple group winning Whippet Ch Collooney He’s The One.
Reserve Best in Show was awarded to John and Kathleen Kelly’s Irish Wolfhound, Ch King Huzzar of Nutstown.
Mrs Dineen awarded Best Puppy in show was Stephanie Robertson’s Beagle, Heathergrove Snow Bird. Reserve Best Puppy in Show was the Whippet, Collooney Hot Chocolate owned by Lynda and Colin Matthews.
Best Veteran was Mr Mrs Gerry Hickey’s nine year old Finnish Spitz, Ch & Int Ch Kilconnell Impi Tovorla, and Reserve was Miss Jane Gostynska’s Basenji, Ch Son Of A Gun.
The winner of the Brace Stakes was Mrs Carla Bollard-O’Callaghan’s Afghan hound’s Metawand Monhegan and Ch Metawand Madawaska.
The Team Stakes was awarded to a young Adam O’Mara who ably handled his mother Salukis Ch & Int Ch Padtheway Notorious, Ulmarra Shaqira and Ulmarra Ibriiz to the top spot.
