| Best In Show Judges: Mr C & Mrs A Hancock
Date of Show: 29th October 2007 |
‘RILEY’! GETS THE PARTY STARTED AT THE IRISH GUNDOG FIELD AND SHOW SOCIETY !!
Monica Boardman’s American Cocker Spaniel AM CH San Jo’s Born To Party was declared Best in Show with the agreement of the two group judges Chris and Angela Hancock of the Hancourt Labrador Retrievers. This was the first year for the event to be classified with the FCI groupings in operation and so it was the decision of both group judges who would be the overall BIS winner. ‘Riley’ had previously taken the group at Swords International in June and has a CC and Best in Show win at the American Cocker Spaniel Club of Great Britain from early October. Topping Group 7 was Aiden McKiernan’s English Setter Richecca Reach For The Sky who was Chris Hancock’s choice as his winner. Christine McLarnon’s Irish Red Setter Northamber Just Cause For Glenavna was the winner of the Puppy Stakes under Angela. The show was the official Crufts Qualifying event for the Gundog groups breeds for this year and Orlagh Murray and her team must be congratulated on putting on a great event with plenty of atmosphere and interest. This year’s show was sponsored by Connolly’s Redmills and there was plenty of product taken home by the main winners on the day.
